On May 16, 2023, 32 students from two 1st year classes of the technical course on tourism, of the Lisbon Professional School of Hotel Management and Tourism, visited the research vessel (RV) Mário Ruivo.
The students learned about the main characteristics of the RV Mário Ruivo and its functions as an oceanographic research platform to support the activities of the Portuguese Institute for Sea and Atmosphere, I.P. (IPMA, I.P.).
The visit was made by the team of IPMA’s Research Vessels and Ocean Observatories Group (NNIO) with the support of the crew and of the Port of Lisbon.
