Students from Secondary School Ferreira Dias visited the research vessel Mário Ruivo

On February 23, 2022, we received aboard the research vessel (RV) Mário Ruivo the visit of 50 students and 5 teachers of the Blue School Programme from the 10^th grade of Secondary School Ferreira Dias (Agualva, Sintra).

In addition to the guided tour to the NI Mário Ruivo with the support of the crew, the team of the Research Vessels and Observatories Group (NNIO) of IPMA made brief sessions on what are research vessels and why they are important for the study of the ocean and the creation of scientific knowledge. 

The visit was organized by IPMA with the important support of Lisbon’s Naval Base.
