On March 29th 2023, 100 students from four 3rd grade classes from Bairro de S. Miguel Elementary School in Lisbon, visited the research vessel (RV) Mário Ruivo, accompanied by their teachers,
The students learned about the main characteristics of the RV Mário Ruivo and its functions as an oceanographic research platform to support the activities of the Portuguese Institute for Sea and Atmosphere, I.P. (IPMA, I.P.).
The visit was made by the team of IPMA’s Research Vessels and Ocean Observatories Group (NNIO) with the support of the crew and the Port of Lisbon.
