The research vessel Mar Portugal is at the shipyard of Metalships & Docks in Vigo.

The research vessel Mar Portugal is at the shipyard of Metalships & Docks, S.A. in Vigo. This entity was subcontracted by Peniche Shipyard for the installation of the two trawl winches and for the execution of steel works, namely structural reinforcements on deck and bulkheads. After conclusion of these works, the Mar Portugal will return to Peniche Shipyard for the final phase of adaptation of the vessel for fishing and scientific operations.
