Green Shipping – Portuguese Flag Workshop

The Research Vessels and Ocean Observatories Group (NNIO) participated in the Green Shipping – Portuguese Flag Workshop which aimed to share stakeholders’ key information and experiences on the current state of green shipping, and also explore the future possibilities for maritime transport, with respect to the necessary adaptations to face climate change.

The workshop, organized by the Directorate-General for Natural Resources, Safety and Maritime Services (DGRM), also aimed to share information with international regulators on the challenges and the future path to achieve the emission reduction targets, looking at 3 areas: biofuels, electric solutions and low carbon fuels.
