Students from the University of Algarve visit RV Mário Ruivo

On March 6, 2023, 38 students, accompanied by professors Nélia Mestre and Ana Rita Carrasco from the University of Algarve (UAlg), visited the research vessel (RV) Mário Ruivo in the scope of the Biogeochemical Processes and Global Changes curricular unit, of the master course in Marine Biology.

The visit was guided by IPMA’s Research Vessels and Ocean Observatories Group (NNIO) with the support of the ship crew. The students learned about the main functions of an oceanographic research vessel and the main characteristics of the RV Mário Ruivo.
