The Oceanographic Research Vessels and Equipment Group provides ship management, operations and maintenance services to IPMA’s fleet.

• Management, maintenance and operation of IPMA’s fleet of research vessels
• Management and maintenance of oceanographic marine observation equipment and systems used in scientific campaigns and missions
• Plan and develop vessel operations to conduct marine scientific research campaigns and surveys, including the availability of all means necessary
• Collaborate with scientific and technical groups in supporting the preparation and execution of scientific campaigns
• Represent IPMA and serve as a point of contact with the network of national and international research vessel operators

As part of this mission, the group is responsible for the Integrated Oceanographic Equipment Management System, an essential tool for the centralised, efficient and transparent management of IPMA’s fleet of technical and scientific oceanographic equipment
